There is a revolution going on at the moment which is very much like the
way DVD completely destroyed the VHS format and this revolution is the
high definition era. Many of us are buying high definition (HD) televisions
such as the beautiful flat and large screen LCD televisions but the problem
is that a standard DVD player cannot produce the high definition picture
quality that is needed to enjoy this incredible HD quality.
And so you have to buy another device for playing your movies if you want to
watch them in full HD and there are two rival formats:
The Blu Ray and the HD DVD.
This web site is here to explain the differences and help you decide which
one you should choose and we also review lots of the movies films that have
been released on either format. And we also have a look at the hardware that
is available such as the Blu Ray and HD DVD players as well as HD LCD televisions
that are excellent for watching HD films and more.
If you are thinking of upgrading to HD then we have to say it is very mich
recommended; the detail of the picture is much higher and so gives an incredibly
sharp and vivid image that looks way better than you will have seen before
HD. You will need an HD television but if you are buying a new one these days
it will almost certainly be HD ready and so you can easily enjoy these brilliant
new HD movies and then HD television such as Sky HD.
When we review an HD film we show results from Amazon for both formats, we
chose them because they are so cheap and relaible and we use them to buy all
of our DVD's and so know we can trust them. On the right are the best sellers
for each format and so they are great choices if you are not wure which film
you would like to buy and we also have pages for specific movies.
So see the pages in the menu on the right for guides to specific products and
films and you will be enjoying the glorious quality of HD in no time.
